Bear Hunting Season

Spring Hunting Season: April 1 - June 15

At this time of year, bear hides are in prime condition.  Many of the bears in the Peace Region will be color-phased at this time, so you will have an excellent chance at harvesting a blonde, cinnamon, brown, chocolate or black bear.

Fall Hunting Season: September 1 - November 30

Fall hunting season can be the best time of year to hunt black bears.  After months of eating berries, clover and oats, these bears will have glistening coats and can have up to 4-6 inches of fat on their backs to prepare them for the long winter ahead.

Waterfowl Hunting Season

Fall Hunting Season: September 1 - October 25

Waterfowl hunting doesn't get much better than in the Peace Region. As birds prepare to fly south, they are often found in fields and near water sources.

Daily waterfowl limits are eight(8) geese and eight(8) ducks per person.

Wolf Hunting

Peace River - WMU 527: Year Round

Wolf hunting in Northern Alberta offers a rugged and rewarding predator experience across vast boreal forests and remote wilderness. While wolves can be hunted year-round, the most opportunistic time is during mating season (typically through March and April), when increased movement and vocalization make locating packs more predictable.
