Frequently Asked Questions

info

Are you the outfitter?

No. Call Of The Wild Booking Agency is only a booking agency. We partner with trusted, vetted outfitters across Alberta (and beyond) to connect you with world-class hunting experiences.
Our role is to help you find the right hunt, secure your spot, and handle the booking process — so you can focus on the experience.

info

What is included?

Each hunt listing clearly outlines what’s included, but most bookings typically cover:

• Guided hunting services
• Access to the outfitter’s licensed hunting area
• Accommodations (where specified)
• Field preparation of game (varies by outfitter)

Travel, licenses, tags, personal gear, and gratuities are usually not included unless explicitly stated. Always review the individual hunt details before booking.

info

How do deposits work?

To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit equal to 35% of the total hunt price is required at checkout.

This deposit includes:

• Call Of The Wild Booking Agency’s booking fee, and
• The outfitter’s required deposit to reserve your hunt dates

You will be responsible to pay the remaining balance directly to the outfitter, typically prior to arrival or upon check-in, depending on their specific policy. Deposit amounts, payment timelines, and balance details are clearly listed on each hunt page.

info

Can I book as a group?

Absolutely. Many of our outfitters offer group and multi-hunter bookings.
Availability varies by hunt, so we recommend contacting us before booking larger groups to confirm dates, pricing, and accommodations. We’re happy to help coordinate everything. You can also speak directly to the outfitter, as we offer a way to contact them from each hunt page. Simply find the hunt you are looking to secure, and click "Contact Outfitter".

info

What’s required to hunt in Alberta?

To hunt in Alberta, you’ll typically need:

• A valid hunting license
• The appropriate species tag(s)
• Hunter education certification (if applicable)
• Compliance with all provincial regulations

Non-resident and international hunters may have additional requirements. Final licensing and legal responsibility rests with the hunter, but your outfitter will guide you through the process once booked.

info

What happens after payment?

Once your deposit is received:

1. Your booking is confirmed
2. We notify the outfitter and secure your dates
3. You’ll receive next-step details, including balance payment instructions and pre-hunt information

From there, the outfitter will coordinate final logistics directly with you to ensure you’re fully prepared for your hunt.

info

Who are the outfitters?

Call Of The Wild works with independent, licensed Canadian outfitters who are experts in their regions and species. Each outfitter is vetted to ensure safety, professionalism, and compliance with provincial regulations.

World-class hunts. Trusted outfitters. One simple booking process.
